Come and join us for a day exploring Oxford on 5th October. Trains go to Oxford regularly from London Marylebone and Paddington stations or alternatively there is the Oxford tube, where buses seem to run every 20mins.
We'll meet at 2.10pm (meeting either the 2.08pm from Paddington or 2.10pm from Marylebone) at the front of Oxford railway station. We will then head into town via the Gloucester Green bus station at 2.30pm to pick up anyone who has come on the Oxford tube.
We'll explore the town (this may involve cake!) and all the many sites around Oxford. We'll then do a two-mile walk along the river to Iffley Lock and then back through Iffley Village where Andy Gantlett will very kindly host people for an early baked potato supper.
The number 3 bus then runs regularly back into town so that people can catch trains or buses back to their original destination. Once again there seem to be 6 trains an hour back to London and there are currently no engineering works (not that that really means anything at this stage!)
Please RSVP so that we can cater for the right numbers and know to look out for you at the station(s). Jo Streat, Andy Gantlett and Andrew Woodcock will be leading the day.
If you are unable to find them then please call 07815112021.
