Dover Three Castles - Bank Holiday Walk

Come and join us for the Dover Three Castles Coastal walk from Deal to Dover. This is a great chance to breathe in some fresh sea air and meet new and old friends! The walk is approximately 11 miles and we will have a halfway lunch stop at a seaside pub, which is serving a BBQ! 

We would recommend getting the 9.43 Direct train to arrive in Deal for 11.00am

We will walk three miles from Deal castle along the coast to The Rising Sun pub for around 12.30pm, where we will have our BBQ lunch. https://www.theriserkingsdown.co.uk/

We will then continue along the coast to another castle and towards the first point where the Romans landed and invaded England.

We ascend up to a clifftop walk that takes us to see, and takes us over 'The white cliffs of Dover'. Within the cliffs, there is also the famous World War 2 defences. We will then drop below Dover castle and then into town to Dover Priory (4.6 miles) to catch a direct train back to St Pancras.

9.12 Starbucks, St Pancras station- found downstairs at the back of the station (allow time to get there and find the place, and have time for buying tickets together).

Trains back from Dover direct to St Pancras: 16.49; 17.49; 17.58; 18.49 and 19.49 taking 1 hour 5 to 1hr 25 mins

All trains to/from St Pancras stop at Stratford

Please wear some strong shoes/walking boots. The walk is fairly long and challenging, but we'll only go at a reasonable pace.
