This recipe makes 24 squares so feel free to reduce the amount of ingredients proportionally to make less. There’ll be time for some chat and a game during the oven time before the big reveal…

What you’ll need:

• An oven.
• This is a tray bake so you will need a baking tin. The ideal size is a 20 x 30cm, but you can also split the mixture between whatever size tins you have.
• Some greaseproof / baking paper to line the tin.
• 150g light brown sugar
• 225g caster sugar
• 225g butter
• 150g dark chocolate, chopped
• 3 eggs
• 125g plain flour
• 75g cocoa powder
• Optional: Miniature easter eggs of your choice, with or without a shell, e.g. Cadbury mini eggs or mini creme eggs
• Optional: White chocolate for drizzling or icing sugar for dusting.
