This recipe makes 24 squares so feel free to reduce the amount of ingredients proportionally to make less. There’ll be time for some chat and a game during the oven time before the big reveal…
What you’ll need:
- An oven.
- This is a tray bake so you will need a baking tin. The ideal size is a 20 x 30cm, but you can also split the mixture between whatever size tins you have.
- Some greaseproof / baking paper to line the tin.
- 150g light brown sugar
- 225g caster sugar
- 225g butter
- 150g dark chocolate, chopped
- 3 eggs
- 125g plain flour
- 75g cocoa powder
- Optional: Miniature easter eggs of your choice, with or without a shell, e.g. Cadbury mini eggs or mini creme eggs
- Optional: White chocolate for drizzling or icing sugar for dusting.
