Walk in the New Forest

We will be meeting at Beaulieu Road Station (SO42 7YQ) at 11.45am and having before starting our circular walk.

We will first head to Lyndhurst (approx 4 miles) before heading back, which should take around 3 -3.5 hours.

• If you are making your own way, please meet hosts, who'll be wearing badges at Beaulieu Road Station (SO42 7YQ) in the New Forest or by the car park opposite the Drift Pub which is next to the station at 11:45.
• We'll then have a leisurely stroll for 1.5 hrs to Lyndhurst (4 miles away), buy some lunch in Lyndhurst and mosey around there for 1-2 hrs before continuing our loop back to Beaulieu Rd Station (another 1.5 hrs and 4 miles)

Beaulieu Rd is very small consisting of the railway station, pub (the Drift Pub), a hotel and a couple of car parks (free parking) all within 200 yards of each other so we should be able to find everyone!

If you are driving from London it is about 2 hours (90 miles) and from Bristol, it is about 2 hours (75 miles).

Coming by train? 

Recommended train from London Waterloo leaves at 10:05 with a change at Southampton Central before arriving at Beaulieu Road at 11:44.  

Return trains leave Beaulieu Road at 17:38 and every 2 hours after that.

There will of course be an optional pub stop factored in.

Make sure you come prepared with appropriate walking gear, rucksack and supplies you might need, including water and something to keep you warm and dry if the weather is not so great.
